ABOUT
I’m Phoebe Finch, the Founder and Director of Wayward Management.
MY JOURNEY
Growing up in a performance-driven household could often feel like living in the midst of a West End production. My mum was a dancer, my dad an actor, and I dabbled in commercials and had an undying love for musical theatre. Imagine a mini-me twirling in ballet classes from age 4 to 19 before discovering the joys of Aerial Arts. Yes, I now live out my circus fantasies daily on an Aerial Hoop!
Post-college, I worked in education, earning a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education and a BA in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Practice. I even worked in project management at a graphic design company. But the performance bug never left me. Eventually, I found my way back to the children’s modelling industry, combining my organisational skills, industry knowledge, and passion for working with kids.
Fast forward to December 2023, a house move meant saying goodbye to my position at a leading London children’s modelling agency. But this industry had a hold on me – I couldn’t just walk away! So, I launched Wayward Management, an inclusive agency for children and families, representing unparalleled talent from all walks of life.
WHY "WAYWARD"?
Way back when, I dreamed up a fashion editorial with a “Lost Boys” vibe – think adventure, individuality, and a touch of rebellion. This vision highlighted how kids are strong-willed and unique, and that’s where the name “Wayward” came from. Let’s face it, kids can be wayward, and that confidence and freedom is something to be celebrated!
At Wayward Management, we celebrate every child’s individuality. We represent children of all abilities and cultures, to facilitate better representation in the world of fashion and advertising. We are an agency committed to celebrating diversity in all its forms.
So, welcome to Wayward – where we embrace the beautiful chaos of childhood and turn it into
something extraordinary.
